PIF Parainen

Pargas Idrottsförening, or PIF for short, is a sports club based in the city of Pargas, Finland. The club has over 1,500 members and is known, especially for handball, football, and orienteering. It also makes provision for cross-country skiing, floorball, gymnastics, and athletics. The club was founded in 1914 as Pargas Malms Idrottsförening but changed its name to its current title in 1916.

PIF Parainen, cunoscută și sub numele de Pargas Idrottsförening, este o echipă de fotbal din Parainen, Finlanda. Clubul a fost fondat în 1920 și joacă în prezent în Kakkonen, a treia divizie a sistemului de fotbal finlandez. Culorile clubului sunt albastru și alb.

Cel mai mare succes al lui PIF Parainen a venit în 1960, când a câștigat Cupa Finlandei. De asemenea, au câștigat campionatul Kakkonen de trei ori, în 1959, 1997 și 2007.

Stadionul de acasă al lui PIF Parainen este Pargas Idrottsplan, care are o capacitate de 2.000 de spectatori.

Foști jucători notabili ai lui PIF Parainen includ pe Sami Hyypiä, care a jucat pentru echipa Finlandei și a reprezentat cluburi precum Liverpool și Bayer Leverkusen.
