The Favbet Premijer liga (English: Favbet Premier League, lit. 'Favbet Premier League'), also known as simply Premijer liga, is the first tier level men's professional basketball league in Croatia. It began in 1991, following the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and therefore the Yugoslav League, and is organized by the Croatian Basketball Federation.
Favbet Premijer liga, which is played under FIBA rules, currently consists of 12 teams. The most successful club is KK Cibona with 19 championship titles.
History
Prior to 1991, clubs from Croatia played in the Yugoslav First Federal League. From the inaugural season in 1946, three Croatian clubs won 15 national championships in total; Zadar (six titles), Split (six titles), and Cibona (three titles).
Croația - A1 Liga este liga de baschet de top din Croația. A fost fondată în 1992 și este alcătuită din 12 echipe. Liga este administrată de Federația Croată de Baschet. Campionatul regulat se desfășoară cu 22 de etape, urmate de play-off-uri pentru primele opt echipe. Echipa care câștigă cea mai bună clasare din play-off este declarată campioană a Croației. Cea mai de succes echipă din A1 Liga este Cibona Zagreb, care a câștigat 22 de titluri. Liga este una dintre cele mai puternice din Balcani și se clasează în mod constant printre primele 20 de ligi din Europa.
